Rockin’ Rondo [Big Band]

Description

Due to the popularity of the concert band version, Rockin’ Rondo has been rescored for Stage Band. The rhythms, harmony, and form are identical, except this version is a tone higher (G minor) so these parts don’t fit with the concert band version. The “C” section of the rondo form features a trumpet solo (written or ad lib).
The rhythm section and bari sax feature with a soli melody at the start and finish. This piece is composed in typical ABACA Rondo Form, so your students learn something! Ranges are very considerate, though many syncopated rhythms provide a challenge in the rock style.
