Music from Polovetsian Dances (from Prince Igor) (PDF format)

This is an adaptation of the original Polovetsian Dances from Borodin’s opera “Prince Igor”. This very closely follows the original (you can’t make the original any better!), but is much easier to play (and is scored for concert band rather than orchestra). The woodwind parts are quite challenging, the percussion follow the original most of the time, but the brass parts are relatively easy – though still fun to play, so will suit a band with a smaller brass section that wishes to perform a “big” concert piece.
