Description
In a half-time rock shuffle feel, Pickin’ Locks is an original composition your band will love to play. The 2nd chart in the ‘Cory’ series, this is big-band style music arranged specifically for concert band. Although the ranges are very reasonable, there are some challenging rhythms in the jazz/shuffle style, and appropriate articulations ensure your band will develop their abilities in this genre. Trombone and Alto Sax solos are written, but changes are provided and improvised solos are encouraged. Feel free to have your additional percussion players improvise.
