Saint-Saën’s best known work from ‘Carnival of the Animals’ is arranged as a jazz waltz, featuring solo trombone. The solo part features improvised solo areas (chord changes provided), with the range up to high Db. Band parts have reasonable ranges (1st trumpet high E 3 ledger lines, optional to C 2 ledger lines).
